Trade Delegation Visits CanadaOn behalf of Indian ‘Skills Mission’, a trade delegation comprising chairman and CEOs from 15 Skill Sector councils have gone to Canada to sign MoUs with their counterparts there to enrich the Indian expertise in the Skill front in apparel sector.

In a release today, TEA President, A. Sakthivel said as a chairman of Apparel Made ups and Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council, he is signing an MoU with Fanshawe College, Ottawa, Canada on April 15 in presence of the prime minister, Narendra Modi, now on a visit there and Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada. On the same day he will also be signing another MoU with Canada India Education Council, at Toronto.

The main purpose of signing of the MOUs would be a greater cooperation between Canadian partners and the skill council for enriching the Indian expertise in the Skill front in apparel sector. Sakthivel said that following signing of these MOUs, there shall be more trainers available in the skill sector coupled with improvement in the quality of trainings and ultimately, this would leave a positive impact on the number and quality of manpower in ‘Apparel, Made-Ups & Home Furnishing sectors’.
