TEXFAIR, The 11th edition of textile machinery, accessories and spares exhibition organized by Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA) will begin from November 17. The four day TEXFAIR will run from November 17 to 20 at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore and nearly one lakh visitors are expected.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, Chairman and Managing Director of Lakshmi Machine Works. The entry is free for the textile stakeholders and the participation this year is nearly 20 percent more than the previous edition and they are expecting business enquiries to the tune of Rs. 500 crore, the organiser said.

“Nearly 250 participants will display machinery, spares, accessories, testing equipment, etc in 300 stalls, which would be a platform for textile mills to plan their present and future investment. Apart from exhibitors from different parts of the country, companies from Italy, China, Japan, and Switzerland will also take part,” Chairman of the association P. Nataraj said.

A farm-to-finish expo will also be organised as a concurrent event with about 50 companies showcasing cotton, fibres, yarn, made-ups and garments.

The mills on an average spent 2.5 – 3 per cent of their turnover on spares and accessories.
