India’s biggest retailer Reliance Retail has unveiled premium fashion and lifestyle store chain, Azorte’s first store in Ahmedabad
The store was inaugurated by Parimal Nathwani, Director, Corporate Affairs at Reliance Industries and Rakesh Jallipally, VP & Business Head, Azorte.
Spread over 21,000 sq. feet, the tech-enabled store caters to the fashion and lifestyle needs of women, men and kids and is equipped with self-check-out kiosks, interactive screens and mobile scan and pay.
RFID-enabled interactive screens placed across the stores, for instance, double as virtual styling assistants.
Smart fitting rooms help shoppers complete the look and at the touch of a button or request for additional sizes and other products.
Customers can also prefer self-checkouts instead of queuing up at manned counters and shoppers will be able to meet and interact with in-store fashion consultants.
“Azorte marks its entry into the ‘Manchester city of India’. Our first store at Stratum @ Venus Grounds, Nehrunagar, Ahmedabad is now open,” Hari Krishnan, Head of Visual Merchandising at Azorte said in a LinkedIn post
“This is the first of many more stores to come in Gujarat,” Hari Krishnan added.
Reliance Retail unveiled its first Azorte store in September 2022 in Bengaluru and now has 10 retail stores across the country in various cities.
Reliance Retail also has plans to expand the store network to 250 stores within the next 2-3 years.
