The AGM was followed by NITRA’s 14th convocation ceremony where a total of 150 students were awarded certificates and medals. They also inaugurated two useful instruments- Electronic drape meter and Fabric smoothness tester developed by the scientists of NITRA.

Arindam Basu, NITRA director general informed that the organisation has 2,600 pass outs working in more than 100 renowned apparel or textiles exports companies. He also mentioned that NITRA offers many industry oriented programmes on regular and distance learning modes, covering areas such as garment manufacturing, designing, merchandising and quality assurance.
