NIFT 2026-27 Entrance Exam: Last Date Extended, Fees Reduced

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT 2026-27) has announced the commencement of its entrance examination process for the 2026-27 academic batch, offering undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses in fashion design, management, and technology with reduced application fees across various categories.

To ensure maximum candidates benefit from the fee reduction, NIFT has extended the last date for form submission to 13th January 2026. Candidates can still apply from 14th to 16th January 2026 by paying the applicable late fee.

The Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Pen-Paper based entrance examinations will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on 8th February 2026 across 102 cities nationwide.

For the 2026-27 batch, the application fee has been revised as follows:

  • Open, OBC (NCL) and Open-EWS categories: Reduced from Rs. 3,000/- to Rs. 2,000/-
  • SC, ST and PwD categories: Reduced from Rs. 1,500/- to Rs. 500/-
