Hathkargha 2024 Dubai – Textile , Handloom & Handicraft Product Showcase & Buyer Seller Meet

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) will present HATHKARGHA 2024, the second edition of a premier showcase and buyer-seller meet for textile, handloom, and handicraft products in Dubai. Organized in collaboration with the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and the Consulate General of India in Dubai, this event is scheduled for 10th to 12th November 2024, aiming to bolster the reach of Indian textile and handicraft products in the Middle Eastern market.

The Indian textile and handloom sector is a cornerstone of the national economy, employing over 3.5 million weavers and workers. India stands as a leading global producer, responsible for 95% of the world’s hand-woven fabric, contributing significantly to GDP, industrial production, and exports. Major export destinations for Indian handloom products include the USA, UAE, and European countries, with the USA importing over US$ 58 million in 2022-23, and the UAE following closely with imports worth US$ 12.72 million.

HATHKARGHA 2024 will focus on supporting sustainable textiles, unique handicrafts, and providing a strategic platform for Indian artisans, designers, and buyers to foster international trade and increase exports. Through this initiative, FICCI is committed to strengthening the global footprint of Indian heritage textiles and handicrafts.
