Gartex Texprocess India 2025 commenced today with great enthusiasm at the iconic Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, marking the beginning of its 13th edition. Scheduled from 21st to 23rd August 2025, the event is jointly organised by Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India Pvt Ltd and MEX Exhibitions Pvt Ltd. Over the years, the exhibition has grown into one of the most important business and networking platforms for the garment, textile manufacturing, and denim industries. This year’s edition is especially significant, with the introduction of two new segments—the LeatherX Pavilion and the Textile Care Forum—broadening its scope and making it more comprehensive than ever before.
Gartex Texprocess India has evolved into a formidable platform where stakeholders exchange meaningful insights, forge collaborations, and explore the latest technologies shaping the future of textiles. The 2025 edition has set new benchmarks with record participation from more than 200 exhibitors and over 600 brands, reflecting both domestic and international interest. Global majors such as Durst, Morimota Singapore (Kansai), Epson, Morgan, Jinjen, Groz Beckert, Brothers International, Jack Franc, Veolia, and Amazon have brought international representation from countries including China, Japan, Italy, Germany, and Singapore. Adding to the excitement is the entry of 35% first-time exhibitors, showcasing fresh innovations and underlining the show’s role as a launchpad for new players in the market. Spread across an expansive 150,000+ sq. ft. exhibition area.
The inauguration was graced by Chief Guest Manohar Lal Khattar, Hon’ble Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs and Minister of Power, Government of India, who highlighted the industry’s pivotal role in India’s economy. He remarked “The textile industry is one of the largest employment generators in the country, with more than 45 million people engaged directly, many of whom are women and rural workers. The government has introduced several measures and incentives to strengthen this sector. I commend the organisers for bringing together the entire value chain, from yarn to finished products, under one roof in New Delhi.”
Khattar also emphasized India’s commitment to sustainable growth, noting the government’s efforts to shift from fossil fuels to renewable energy. “We have introduced multiple schemes, including subsidies of up to 75%. India had aimed to replace 50% of energy with renewables by 2030, but we have already achieved this milestone. I urge industry players to align with Mission 2047 by upgrading to clean energy sources,” he added.
Following him, Guest of Honour Rakesh Sachan, Hon’ble Minister of MSME, Khadi, Village Industries, Sericulture, and Textile, Government of Uttar Pradesh, underlined the state’s initiatives to bolster the textile sector. “While India still depends heavily on imported textile machinery, we are working to create a supportive ecosystem for indigenous development. Uttar Pradesh has already allocated 100 acres of dedicated land for industries, and YEIDA is developing a 150-acre apparel cluster in Noida—the state’s first textile park. This initiative will attract investments, create jobs, and strengthen exports,” he said.
Sachan also acknowledged global challenges like US tariffs but urged industry players to view them as opportunities for innovation and capacity-building through indigenous technologies.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by a distinguished panel of dignitaries, including Kundan Kumar (IAS), Resident Commissioner and Managing Director, BIADA; Sharad Jaipuria, President of Denim Manufacturers Association; Simon Lee, Managing Director of Hyosung Group India; Lalit Thukral, President of Noida Apparel Export Cluster; Himani Gulati, Director, MEX Exhibitions Pvt Ltd; Raj Manek, Executive Director & Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd; and Olaf Schmidt, Vice President – Textile & Textile Technologies, Messe Frankfurt GmbH.
