Bethany Mota, the American video fashion blogger, has topped the list of Most Searched Designers on Google this year.
The 19-year-old, who runs a YouTube video series titled ‘Macbarbie07’, has defeated several big industry names such as Alexander Wang and Valentino in the most searched designer category.
The winning talent is known for her haul videos featuring latest fashion purchases, outfit ideas and beauty tips. The young designer of Mexican and Portuguese descent also owns a fashion line with American shopping mall-based specialty retailer Aéropostale and has partnered with leading brands like JCPenney and Forever 21.
She has also served as a guest judge in season 13 of the fashion-centric American reality television series Project Runway.
Beside Bethany, Google’s 2014 top designers’ list also features labels like Kate Spade, Oscar de la Renta, Rachel Roy and late L’Wren Scott occupying the second, third, fourth and fifth slots.
