Arvind Atelier (FZC), the newly launched wholly owned UAE subsidiary of Arvind Limited in the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone), marks a major step in the company’s global expansion strategy. Alongside this launch, Arvind Limited has also opened a dedicated Design Hub in London, further strengthening its global textile and apparel innovation network backed by nearly a century of manufacturing expertise.

The expansion strengthens Arvind’s ability to serve global brands through a regionally integrated operating model that combines customer-centric design, agile sourcing and vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and the Americas.

“This expansion marks an important milestone in Arvind’s global growth journey.” said Punit Lalbhai, Vice Chairman, Arvind Limited“By bringing design, sourcing and execution closer to key international markets, we are enhancing our ability to deliver speed, flexibility, quality and responsible manufacturing solutions to global brands.” he added.

Rakesh Chadha has been appointed Managing Director of Arvind Atelier. He brings more than three decades of experience in global apparel sourcing, supply chain management and international business development. In his new role, he will lead customer engagement, regional business expansion, sourcing operations and strategic partnerships across the UK, Europe and the Middle East, while building integrated teams across design, product development, sourcing and operations. “London will serve as a strategic hub connecting Arvind’s innovation capabilities with Europe’s dynamic fashion ecosystemThe model is designed to enable closer collaboration with customers and support faster, market-responsive product development.” said Rakesh.

Together, the London Design Hub and Sharjah-based Arvind Atelier establish a complementary operating structure. The London hub will focus on customer engagement, trend insights and product development, while the UAE platform will coordinate sourcing, manufacturing integration, logistics management and regional market access across Arvind’s global network.

Arvind Atelier will operate as an integrated sourcing platform across denim, casual wear, shirts, knits, sweaters, essentials and activewear, enabling brands to consolidate multiple product categories under a single strategic sourcing partner. For Immediate Release

The expansion builds on Arvind’s established manufacturing scale and global supply capabilities. In FY25, the company’s garmenting division produced approximately 37 million pieces, while woven fabric volumes reached approximately 128 million metres. Arvind is also among the world’s leading denim manufacturers, with annual denim fabric capacity exceeding 110 million metres.

The company’s international expansion comes at a time of growing opportunity across Europe and MENA. According to CBI, Europe imported approximately €180.5 billion worth of apparel in 2024, while Deep Market Insights estimates the Middle East and Africa fashion apparel market at approximately USD 172 billion in 2025, with continued long-term growth projected across the region.

The launch of the London hub also aligns with the anticipated implementation of the UK–India Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, which is expected to strengthen bilateral trade opportunities for India’s textile and apparel sector.
