17th GARKNIT-X organised by B. P. Mishra of Vardaan Events in association with West Bengal Hosiery Association under leadership of Ashok Todi as President. This fair was conducted every year in coordination with the local associate Pradip Kochar of Indian Apparel and supported by various prominent association of West Bengal. The exhibition will open for 3 days i.e 6th, 7th and 8th between 11 & 6.30 pm.
This fair was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister Firhad Hakim – Department of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs and Hon’ble Mayor, The Kolkata municipal Corpn. & Hon’ble Minister Sujit Bose – Department of Fire and Emergency Services & Forest Govt. of WB. On this occasion K B Agarwala of Rupa, Pradeep Todi of Lux, B N Sakeseria of JJ Hosiery, B D Kothari of Kothari Hosiery, Sanjay Jain of TT Ind., K K Gupta of Doller Ind., Pradeep Arora, Pradeep Shroff, Sudesh Agarwal, Ramesh Sonthalia, Sarad Bhatter, Alok More, Hairkishan Rathi, P. L. Agarwala and many more was presented at the event. Both the Ministers assure that they will take all the initiative to support this industries under leadership of our Hon’ble CM Mamata Banerjee.
This is the first time Jacquard Rapier Loom, Cutter Machine, Newly High Speet Embroidery Machine, Circular & Flat Knitting Machine is in display at the 17th Edition of Garknit-X apart from the Machines like Sewing, Embroidery, Washing, Printing, Digital Printing Machine, Fabrics & Supporting Accessories related to the Garment Industries. Approx 200 Brands are participating in this Garknit-X from 17-20 prominent countries of the World.
This is also the first time to include the Buyer Seller Meet under the banner Indian Chamber of Commerce under leadership of Sanjay Jain as President. More than 50 foreign buyers from textile and apparel sector visited this fair from more than 19 countries. The meet facilitated textile & apparel units from Eastern India, which are mainly in the MSME segment to interact with overseas buyers for sourcing and establishing markets worldwide.
