Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd recently said that the company has signed an exclusive deal to sell British high street brand Ted Baker in India.

“We are happy to join hands with Ted Baker and build a strong presence for the brand with Indian consumers. This partnership will enable our consumers to explore to a new world of fashion for men and women,” Ashish Dikshit, business head of ABFRL said.

The London-based fashion brand currently operates more than 500 stores in Europe, the US, Canada, Australia, Asia, South Africa and the Middle East.

ABFRL, formerly known as Pantaloons Fashion & Retail Limited was formed in May 2015. It was formed after the consolidation of the branded apparel businesses of Aditya Birla Group Comprising Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd’s Madura Fashion division and subsidiaries Pantaloons Fashion & Retail Ltd (PFRL) and Madura Garments Lifestyle Retail Company Ltd.
