PHWP is the first park to have been established under the government scheme for integrated textile parks and this park became operational from April 2008. He is the director in Apparel, Made Ups and Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council, Gurgaon, Textile Sector Skill Council, New Delhi and SIMA Textile Processing Centre Limited, Cuddalore. He is the principal member on the Committee of Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI), New Delhi.

Additionally, P. Nataraj, MD, KPR Mill Limited, Coimbatore, who is a member of Committee of Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) and also a vice-president of Indian Cotton Federation, Coimbatore and K. Vinayakam, MD, SCM Textile Spinners, Avinashi and MD of The Chennai Silks have also been re-elected as deputy chairman and vice-chairman, respectively, for the year 2016-17.
