Textile productivity to be increased in AP

Textile productivity to be increased in AP

Implementation of various textile schemes in all 16 districts of Arunachal Pradesh will increase textile productivity in the state, textile and handicrafts minister Tamiyo Taga said.

For quality production, the textile sector should focus on recruitment of efficient technical employees, Taga said while addressing a textile & handicrafts coordination and review meeting. For proper functioning of the sector, the government should increase the strength of trainees to 2,000, state’s textile and handicrafts commissioner, Tahang Taggu, who was also present at the meeting said.

The textile production of Arunachal will get a boost with the availability of proper infrastructural facilities. Release of sufficient finance will benefit the local weavers and artisans, textile and handicrafts parliamentary secretary, Karya Bagang felt.
