Ministry of state for textile Ajay Tamta has said that there is a need to bring about a change in mindset among the people so that the nation realizes that a new type of revolution through ‘swachhtha Pakhwada’ (cleanliness fortnight) has been unleashed in the country.
Briefing the media on the observance of swachhtha Pakhwada of the minister of textile, Tamta said all 17 bodies coming under the ministry undertook various activities to advance swachhtha in later and sprite. He said there is need for the message of swachhtha to reach to every citizen of the country.
Everyone needs to realize that swachh Bharat Abhiyan can became a success if each one participates actively in it. According to the vision of the prime minister, the government as well as all sections of the society has been working together for a swachh Bharat, the minister said.
Tamta complemented the officials for weeding out around 2000 office files during the cleanliness fortnight. A swachhtha video song prepared by the ministry was shown to different stakeholders on the occasion.
