GHCL Textiles Limited has announced the appointment of Marshal Rajendrakumar Sonavane as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1, 2025. He succeeds R. Balakrishnan, who has played a pivotal role in GHCL’s growth over the past two decades.
Balakrishnan has been instrumental in driving the company’s transformation journey and has built a strong foundation for future expansion. His leadership steered GHCL through critical phases, earning him recognition as a cornerstone of the organization.
Marshal Sonavane brings over 14 years of diverse industry experience, marked by strategic foresight and operational acumen. He joined GHCL as Chief Strategy Officer in January 2025 and quickly made a strong impact, leading to his elevation as CEO within months.
He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from BITS Pilani and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from XLRI Jamshedpur. His leadership is defined by a clear vision, executional rigor, and a balance of technical and business expertise.
As CEO, Marshal will focus on enhancing market presence, driving operational efficiency, and fostering innovation-led growth. R. S. Jalan, Non-Executive Director, welcomed the appointment, expressing confidence in Marshal’s ability to lead GHCL into its next phase of strategic evolution.
