Industry needs more knowledge sharing sessions

Garment and textile industry has urged the government to conduct more knowledge sharing programmes to drive growth, increase technical potential and production efficiencies, revised taxation policies, and other important aspects. Although industry bodies and ministries jointly organize such type of events for the exporters and manufacturers, but still they appear unsatisfied. Industry Leaders said that more sessions should be organized in various parts of the country which will be beneficial for those who are connected with sector. Some feel seminars to be conducted in local languages, and latest updates on techniques and government policies should be highlighted more.

Some other potential players in the industry, said that they need assistance on the technical areas to drive their businesses in a much better way.

Additionally, they also want seminars on merchandising, product development and skill development.
