The 39th edition of Garment Technology Expo (GTE 2026), South Asia’s leading platform for garment manufacturing technology, concluded on a high note at the India Expo Centre & Mart, registering an impressive footfall of 18,900+ B2B visitors. Spread across a sprawling 1,40,000 sq. ft. exhibition area, the four-day event witnessed participation from 200+ exhibitors representing over 650 brands, reaffirming its stature as a premier sourcing destination for the garment manufacturing industry.
The exhibition brought together the entire garment production ecosystem under one roof, offering a comprehensive showcase of advanced machinery, automation systems, CAD/CAM technologies, digital textile printing, finishing solutions, trims, accessories, and next-generation production innovations. Previous exhibitors participated in the exhibition with more space booked than in the last edition.
The strong turnout of garment manufacturers, exporters, sourcing professionals and industry stakeholders highlighted the growing demand for technological upgradation and efficiency-driven manufacturing in India.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of eminent industry leaders, including Inderjit Singh Sahni, Chairman and Managing Director, GTE, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman, India Exposition Mart Limited; HKL Magu, Board of Governor, Apparel Export Cluster and Managing Director, Jyoti Apparels; Lalit Thukral, President, Noida Apparel Export Cluster (NAEC); Rakshit Poddar, President, Garment Exporters Association of Rajasthan (GEAR); and along with other distinguished dignitaries. The inauguration underscored the importance of innovation, collaboration, and the adoption of technology in strengthening India’s position in the global apparel manufacturing landscape.
A major highlight of GTE 2026 was the large-scale showcase of AI-powered automation technologies, widely regarded as the next transformative force in garment manufacturing, particularly from China, where technology providers specialising in apparel and knitting production machinery, automation systems and smart factory solutions showcased their latest technology and innovations. From intelligent production systems to precision-driven operations, these solutions attracted significant interest from manufacturers looking to enhance productivity, improve quality, and reduce operational costs. It will also help in adopting and training our Garment Machinery operators to keep pace with the latest upgradations.
Gyan Prakash Mittal, AEPC, Rajasthan, said that this platform is a pioneer in displaying the latest technology. This is a must-attend event for every garment manufacturer and exporter to explore the latest technology and innovations to boost their businesses.
Further strengthening its industry relevance, the exhibition was supported by the Ministry of Textiles and was MSME-approved, enabling micro, small and medium enterprises to explore government-backed opportunities for technology adoption, networking, and business expansion.
Inderjit Singh Sahni, Chairman and Managing Director, GTE, expressed his happiness at achieving the goal of organising a groundbreaking edition in the national capital and said that throughout the four days, the exhibition floor remained vibrant with live machinery demonstrations, real-time technology comparisons, and active buyer-seller engagements that would excel in upcoming editions.

Adding a knowledge-driven dimension, trend forecasts in apparel production by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) provided valuable insights into future industry directions.Dr. Ujjwal Ankur, Professor, NIFT, highlighted that GTE is one of the biggest platforms where people promote their different initiatives in the textiles industry, and we’re here to give exposure to our students and are happy to have a wonderful association and collaborations.
