Textiles minister, Santosh Kumar Gangawar in a reply during question hour in the Lok Sabha today informed that government has launched Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme ( TUFS ), schemes for the development of the powerloom sector, another for technical textiles, for Integrated Textile Parks (SITP) and Integrated Skill Development Scheme.

The schemes were intended to strengthen the country’s textile sector and generate employment opportunities for its workers.
