Denim Expo in Bangladesh from May 17

With Bangladesh being the second-largest denim supplier for European Union and third-largest for the USA, the sixth edition of Bangladesh Denim Expo (BDE) to be held at the International Convention City Bashundhara in Dhaka from May 17 will attract a large number of countries from abroad.

This year’s edition of the Expo focuses on denim networks since Bangladesh is becoming increasingly important in the world for its bulk production at its 26 denim factories in that country.

“The expo has become a much awaited event in the international denim calendar. That’s why we are also trying to expand the scale of the expo on par with the expectations,” BDE CEO Md. Mostafiz Uddin said.

Like in previous years, the “Sustainable Apparel Forum” will facilitate the successful exchange of knowledge on the first day of the event to make it easier for factories and individuals to implement sustainability. The expo last year drew visitors from 46 countries worldwide representing more than 1000 companies.
