Ministry Of Textiles Launches Special Campaign 5.0

The Ministry of Textiles is actively engaging in Special Campaign 5.0, scheduled from 2nd to 31st October 2025, with a strong focus on Swachhata and the timely disposal of pending matters. The campaign follows a structured approach in three phases—Preparatory (15–30 September), Implementation (2–31 October), and Evaluation (17–30 November)—to ensure effective outcomes.

During the preparatory phase, the Ministry, along with its allied organizations, is mapping identified cleanliness sites, reviewing physical files, clearing scrap, and addressing long-pending grievances and references. These efforts set the foundation for systematic execution during the implementation phase.

As part of the initial targets, the Ministry has identified 68 MP references, 23 parliamentary assurances, 40 public grievances, 19 grievance appeals, and a review of over 6,500 physical files, with 950 files marked for weeding. In addition, around 70 cleanliness sites have been selected, with updates continuing in real time on the official campaign portal. This process ensures transparency and regular monitoring of progress.

The Ministry’s participation in the previous year’s Special Campaign 4.0 (2024) yielded significant achievements, demonstrating its commitment to efficiency and good governance. Notable outcomes included the review of 26,755 files, weeding of 7,464 files, closure of 771 e-files, and freeing up of 31,469 sq. ft. of office space. Additionally, revenue of ₹14.86 lakh was generated through scrap disposal, while 270 sites were cleaned. Importantly, 100% disposal was achieved for 86 grievances and 67 appeals, along with the resolution of 75 VIP references.

Building on these successes, the Ministry of Textiles aims to further enhance cleanliness, streamline administrative processes, and strengthen citizen-centric governance through Special Campaign 5.0, reinforcing its commitment to efficiency, accountability, and transparency.
