ATDC Organises “Rozgar Mela”Apparel Training and Design Centre (ATDC) Gurgaon, vocational training provider for the apparel industry, has organized a Ten-day ‘Rozgar Mela’ for students at its Gurgaon Campus. As many as 118 skilled youths have been picked up by various apparel companies at the ‘Mela’. 152 candidates from 14 different centres of ATDC participated in this mela and 118 of them successfully got placed.

Altogether 14 top export companies and apparel houses of Delhi NCR had picked up suitable candidates for their organisations from the ‘Mela’.

Hari Kapoor, Vice-Chairman, ATDC Gurgaon, said “We get continuous feedback about how effective our training courses are from the exporters and others who recruit them”.

Darlie Koshy, DG & CEO, ATDC & IAM said “We are happy more and more companies choose and prefer ATDC candidates. ATDC has an integrated approach… skill training without employment linkage is a futile exercise”.

ATDC, under the aegis of AEPC has emerged as country’s largest vocational training network for the apparel sector with around 176 ATDCs including ATDC Vocational Institutes and ATDC- SMART Centres and Skill Camps present in major Apparel clusters spread across 22 states and 85 cities Pan India.

Sharing his experience of recruitment at ATDC, T.N Phalahari GM-HR of Paramount said, “We have been associated with ATDC for last 8 years. Every year we recruit students of this centre. The best thing about ATDC students is that coming from a humble background, they are determined to grow which helps develop the company as well”.
