Haryana day is celebrated on November one every year to honour the day when Haryana was carved out of former state of East Punjab in 1966.

On the eve of 49th Haryana day this year, Institute of Apparel Management (IAM) Gurgaon organized fashion photography for their students at their campus. Students of IAM dressed up in the traditional Haryanvi attire which matched to the modern trends. A small cultural programme was also organized depicting the rich culture and heritage of Haryana.

Somesh Singh, director, of IAM said “Haryana has developed a lot in these years and seen an exponential growth be it in the field of infrastructure, hospitality or education. It is an honur to celebrate this day and Haryana’s achievements through various activities at our premises”

Students performed the cultural folk dance of Haryana. Street play was performed on the theme of recent developments in the state. To add more enjoyment to the celebration there were musical performances and quiz competition for the students. Teachers and students of IAM participated actively and enthusiastically in the celebration.

Ms. Pooja, Student of IAM said “I feel proud to be a Haryanvi girl and I am thankful to IAM for celebrating this day with the same enthusiasm and joy as it celebrates other festivals.”
