Standalone net profit for the second quarter of fiscal year 2015-16 jumped over two-fold at Trident Group, one of the largest integrated home textile manufacturers in the world.

During July-September 2015 quarter, the group’s standalone net profit stood at Rs 50.97 crore compared to a net profit of Rs 20.98 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, the company said in a filing to the BSE.

The increase in net profit was mainly on account of reduced expenses.

The standalone total income of the company, however, increased slightly to Rs 960.99 crore for the quarter under consideration over Rs 965.70 crore posted for the same period in the previous fiscal.

Meanwhile, in a separate filing to the BSE, the company said its board of directors has declared second interim dividend of Rs 0.30  per fully paid up equity share of Rs 10 each of the company for the current financial year.
