Karnataka Unveils Eight New Textile Parks, Boosts Investment

They will be inaugurated in Bellary, Bijapur, Chamarajnagar, Channapatna, Davangere, Bagalkot, Mysore and Gulbarga, he added.
“To set up these textile parks, we may require land in the range of 15 to 50 acres,” he said, while speaking to the media.
Chichansoor said the already announced textile park in Yadgir will require 1,000 acres of land, with an expenditure of Rs 1,000 crore. In Ranibennur, a wool park is being scheduled on a 27-acre plot.
He said the government has placed before the Centre a sum of Rs 1,000-crore proposal to give aid to entrepreneurs in textile industry, setting up shop in Karnataka.
