Two Major garment manufacturing bodies in West Bengal has organised separate garment fairs in Kolkata from today to make products available from Indian manufacturers to the people of this region like every year.
While Eastern India Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Federation (EIGMEF) has organized its three-day ’22 EIGMEF Garment Fair’ at Hotel Hindustan International in the central part of the metropolis from today, the West Bengal Garment Manufacturers & Dealers Association has also hold its ’40th Buyers & Sellers Meet’ for three days at Netaji Indore Stadium in the city. This is for the first time, both the event has been organized on the same date facilitating buyers to attend both the events at the same period.
There is lot of enthusiasm among the garment manufacturing community in the region for the events which held once in a year particularly before the festive season. Number of national brands as usual are likely to participate in both the fairs. Several local and upcoming manufacturers have also confirm their participation in the fair. Buyers from different parts of the country particularly from the adjourning states like Bihar, Odisha and NE Region are expected to make a bulk purchase across the table for the coming Puja Festival.
