MelissaAfter achieving tremendous success as an actress, comedian, writer and producer, the multifaceted celeb Melissa McCarthy has now become a fashion designer.

The 44-year-old American actress has joined forces with the US-based apparel and related lifestyle goods specialist Sunrise Brands to create her debut clothing range.

The New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology is set to unveil a moderately priced casual sportswear range, which actually will be a re-interpretation of Sunrise’ existing denimwear brand Seven7 Jeans, sometime in the fall of 2015.

Replete with classy detailing and impeccable fits, the collection, which would be sold at the US, Canada and the UK based department and specialty stores, will feature tops, bottoms and sweaters in both straight and plus sizes.

The introductory range will be followed by a more contemporary and expensive collection expected to be released either in 2016 or 2017.

The Emmy award-winning actress will be assisted by her design team which includes the creative director Judy Swartz, fit specialist Daniela Kurrle, and product coordinator Alexandria Longo in creating the collection.
