Arrow to revamp its stores to 1,000 sq ft: Dhingra

Arrow, a blue blooded American menswear brand has opened its first renovated concept store in Mumbai recently.

The company is also planning to revamp 40 of its existing 250 Arrow stores in the metro and tier I cities by 2018, according to Sumit Dhingra, chief executive officer, heritage brands division, Arvind Fashions.

According to Dhingra each store is about 1,000 sq ft and for redesigning them, the company is spending about Rs 50 lakh per store.

The store houses the complete range from Arrow’s latest collections. The store also has a finely curated ‘shirt bar’ that displays extensive range of Arrow shirts.

Re-formed with the sole aim of bringing the brand’s core value of ‘expert craftsmanship’ to life, the store showcases ARROW’s glorious heritage in a befitting manner. The store is designed to showcase and highlight Arrow’s rich heritage with design components. Arrow has introduced the detachable collar, launched the adjustable waist bands in trousers and brought the wrinkle-free, stain-free concepts to clothing. Today, this exceptional brand has a range that suits the corporate corner office decision-maker as well as it does the young professionals.

Dhingra said, “We will open 50 new stores in tier II and tier III cities this financial year, where the market is growing.” He added that, “We will go through the franchisee model, and only 20 per cent of the stores will be owned by us.” “The company will look to refurbish all its stores over the next three years,” he added.
