Haryana government is reportedly framing a new textile policy for the textile manufacturing hubs, Panipat and Sirsa and is expected to be announced by the end of this month. The new policy is expected to provide the Single Window System to the textile industrialists for establishing new factories in the state.

The Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar assured the textile players that all their demands will be considered while preparing the policy. He stressed that textile entrepreneurs must ensure safety measures at their units.

Lalit Goel, President, Panipat Exporters Association & MD of Riviera Home Furnishing Pvt. Ltd. said, “We have put all the concerns and suggestions on the table to boost the textile industry in Panipat after a series of meetings with the CM. If the Government supports us in building new factories, it’ll help in creating jobs.”

“We have asked the Government to offer land on lease to these manufacturers so that the infrastructure can be improved in order to enhance the production. This will also bring the 15,000 (unorganised) units under GST,” he said.

The industry further expects subsidies on raw materials to make this business more profitable.
