Textile major Arvind Ltd has launched ready to wear menswear under the brand Arvind. It will be later available across The Arvind Stores before branching out as a separate entity eventually to cater to the 10 bn US dollar market in the country.

“Arvind Ltd comes full circle with brand Arvind,” company’s ED Kulin Lalbhai said. The brand will offer garments that will cater to the requirement of the Indian men for his work, leisure and ceremonial requirements, respectively. The company expects to make brand Arvind a Rs. 100 crore entity in 3 to 4 years.

The company will launch Arvind across 50 of its stores in Gujarat and Karnataka and eventually make it available at all 170 Arvind Stores by next season, he said.

The collection is a seamless blend of Indian motifs, fabrics and western fashion and the company is even contemplating teaming up with certain indigenous handloom clusters for the label, Lalbhai added.
