CMAI Mumbai Roadshow for 3rd North India Garment Fair 2025

The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), the apex body representing the Indian apparel industry, successfully organised an impactful Roadshow on September 4, 2025, at Malad in Mumbai. The event served as a curtain raiser for the much-awaited 3rd North India Garment Fair (NIGF) 2025, which is scheduled to be held from November 25 to 27, 2025, at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. Widely recognised as one of India’s premier apparel trade fairs, NIGF has emerged as a significant platform for fostering meaningful connections between garment manufacturers and the vibrant northern retail market.

The Roadshow drew enthusiastic participation from manufacturers, wholesalers, agents, retailers, distributors, and e-commerce representatives. It provided attendees with a detailed preview of the opportunities that the upcoming Fair will unlock. With Northern India continuing to expand as a lucrative consumer hub, the Fair is expected to play a pivotal role in enabling brands and manufacturers to strengthen their footprint in the region. From connecting directly with key buyers to tapping into new distribution channels, 3rd North India Garment Fair 2025 aims to be a comprehensive marketplace for the apparel trade.

Sharing his thoughts at the Roadshow, Anand Chokshi, Member – 3rd North India Garment Fair Sub-Committee, underlined the importance of the initiative He noted, “NIGF will give manufacturers a direct gateway to the vast and untapped North India market. Over the years, we all know the strength of Malad’s garment industry, its manufacturing power, its sales network, and its product diversity at NGF. With the same focus, success can be replicated at 3rd North India Garment Fair too.” His words resonated with the audience, underlining the confidence that industry stakeholders have in CMAI’s ability to deliver value-driven platforms.

The Mumbai Roadshow also highlighted the enormous potential that Northern India offers as a growth engine for the apparel sector. With retail expansion across Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Jaipur, and other key centres, the region provides immense opportunities for manufacturers to strengthen market presence. The Fair is expected to bridge the gap between suppliers and trade buyers by providing an organised platform for direct interaction, effective sourcing, and long-term collaborations.

CMAI has been at the forefront of creating industry-focused platforms like NGF and NIGF, which are now considered among the most credible sourcing destinations for India’s garment industry. Over the years, these initiatives have helped manufacturers and buyers alike to not only discover new products but also stay aligned with market trends and innovations. Hosting the North India Garment Fair at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi’s world-class convention centre, reinforces CMAI’s commitment to offering international-standard infrastructure and facilities for participants.

The Association also announced that the Mumbai Roadshow is just the beginning of a nationwide promotional drive. To generate widespread awareness and participation, similar Roadshows will soon be held in Surat, Jaipur, and Bengaluru, each of which plays a crucial role in India’s textile and garment ecosystem. By engaging regional stakeholders, CMAI aims to build momentum and ensure the Fair receives robust participation from across the country.

With its curated line-up of exhibitors, business networking opportunities, and targeted buyer engagement, the 3rd North India Garment Fair 2025 (NIGF) promises to be a landmark event for the apparel trade. For manufacturers, it offers a platform to showcase collections, innovations, and capabilities; for buyers, it provides direct access to some of India’s best apparel suppliers under one roof.

As the countdown to November begins, the enthusiasm generated by the Mumbai Roadshow has already positioned NIGF 2025 as one of the most significant industry events of the year. By facilitating connections between suppliers and the thriving Northern India retail market, CMAI continues to strengthen its role as a catalyst for growth, innovation, and long-term collaboration within the garment industry.
