Resort Wear collection for travelers by Shades of India

Resort Wear collection for travelers by Shades of India

Taking stock of the rage for easy to wear garments, Shades of India launches its Resort wear collection called “E’kin”, which is a Sanskrit word for “next to the skin”.

Designed in light, floating cotton, it blends an impeccable look with a focus on comfort. It redefines a traveler’s wardrobe to bring a sophisticated leisure style.

In tune with the season, this is an all-white collection with an emphasis on clothes that celebrate the softness of crushed cotton in flattering silhouettes. The collection lays great emphasis on detailing. Techniques range from trimmings on the sleeve to hand stitch and crochet.

But surprise and signature motifs of the collection are the ants printed individually or in rows – and printed so small that at first they seem like dots.  The inspiration is the Bakersfield Voice which tells that dreaming of ants is a sign of wealth to come and of good health. Ants are a good omen, and role models of work and wisdom. They thus support the brand’s philosophy of enhancing the power and strength of a woman.

It is for Resort, thus easy to carry in light weight luggage. Simplicity and fine detailing are the focus.’’

Shades of India’s product range include apparel, fashion and interior accessories, and home furnishings. Building on its reputation, Shades of India established its own first stand-alone retail store at Meharchand Market in New Delhi in 2012 and now sells through over 20 outlets in the country.
