The Integrated Processing Development Scheme (IPDS) has been implemented by the Ministry to facilitate the Indian textile industry in becoming globally competitive through environmentally friendly processing standards and advanced technology, while also addressing pollution challenges in the textile processing sector. Introduced during the 12th Five Year Plan, the scheme supports the establishment of new Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETPs), upgradation of existing CETPs in processing clusters, and development of new processing parks.
