Techtextil India 2025 is poised to introduce Sporttech Pavilion, a specialized space dedicated to the evolving world of sports and activewear textiles. This initiative stems from a strategic collaboration between Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India Pvt Ltd and Concept N Strategies, designed to spotlight India’s growing prowess in the high-performance, functional, and sustainable textiles segment.
Set against the backdrop of an expanding sports and fitness market, the Sporttech Pavilion will present innovations in advanced fabrics, smart textiles, and performance-enhancing gear. From breathable compression wear to sustainable materials and moisture-wicking fabrics, the pavilion will serve as a launchpad for forward-thinking solutions in activewear manufacturing. Further, Government initiatives promoting self-reliance in technical textile manufacturing and the overall momentum in the fitness fashion industry make the pavilion an important step forward.
Raj Manek, Executive Director & Board Member of Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd, shared his enthusiasm for the new addition:
“The Sporttech Pavilion aligns with Techtextil India’s legacy of driving innovation. With the sportswear industry growing rapidly, this dedicated space offers manufacturers and buyers a focused platform to explore the next generation of performance textiles.”
Echoing this, Kishan Daga, Founder of Concepts N Strategies, emphasized the potential for global exposure:
“India’s sports textile industry is on the verge of transformation. Through the Sporttech Pavilion, we’re creating a world-class stage where Indian manufacturers can showcase quality, technology, and sustainability to global buyers.”
According to an IMARC Group report, India’s sportswear market is projected to rise from USD 10.2 million in 2024 to USD 16.6 million by 2033, registering a CAGR of 5.1%. On the global front, the sportswear market is forecasted to reach USD 350.45 billion by 2032, growing at a CAGR of 7.84% from USD 206.64 billion in 2024.
The pavilion will feature diverse exhibitors, from eco-friendly fabric producers and smart textile developers to makers of performance gear, footwear, and accessories. Also included are suppliers of specialty coatings and manufacturers of machinery for textile processing, testing, and dyeing—highlighting innovation across the activewear and sports textile value chain.
Additionally, Techtextil India 2025 will enhance business networking and spotlight medical textiles through the second edition of MEDITEX, held in collaboration with South India Textile Research Association (SITRA)
