Filatex India Plans To Expand Its Dahej Unit

Filatex India, pioneer in manufacturing of Mono filament yarn in Indian market plans to expand its existing unit at Dahej by putting up manufacturing facilities of 100 MT/day of Polyester Fully Drawn Yarns to ramp up long term profitability.

This will lead to lower per tonne capital cost which in turn will put the company to a recurring advantage by way of lower depreciation and interest, Filatex India said in a BSE filing.

In year 2008, FIL started producing Polyester Fully Drawn yarn using latest machines from Barmag, Germany. FDY is generally used for better quality fabric. FDY yields higher contribution as compared to the normal POY as the process of texturising is eliminated. It is also manufactured in about 70 shades.
