The Department of Textile Manufacturing has announced its technical fest Vastra’17 to be held at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai on April eight, to provide a platform for students in the country to have discussion with textile technocrats and win prizes worth Rs.50,000.

The technofest Vastra has a history of being a confluence of visionary alumni students and corporate leaders from the field of textile science. This year, Vastra will be opening new avenues for interaction among textile enthusiasts from all across the country. The theme for the year is technical textiles.

The tech fest will witness among other events, competitions like technical quiz, paper on poster presentation, product marketing and spontaneous sketching.

Vastra is a national level textile summit organized by VJTI, which is one of the oldest and prestigious institutes contributing to the field of textile for over a century.
