The centre has clarified that subsidy on woollen yarn has not been stopped and will continue to be available to the weavers.
The clarification came after the issue was raised by Member of Parliament Viplove Thakur on May 7 in Rajya Sabha stating that subsidy on woollen yarn used by weavers of Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir has been stopped.
