Mary Kom, New Face of PUMA India for Women Category
Puma, German sportswear and lifestyle brand have appointed Indian Olympic six-time gold medallist Champion Chungneijang Mary Kom Hmangte famously known as MC Mary Kom as its brand ambassador. Puma has signed a two-year deal with Mary who will be the face of women’s training category, company sources said.
Indian boxing heavyweight Mary Kom said, “Puma as a brand has always believed in supporting and encouraging women, which made it a perfect fit for me. Being a woman and a mother I have faced several challenges that I have powered through, thanks to my family and team.”
Puma earlier signed Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli to a 10-year deal, named Mary Kom as their brand ambassador in women’s sportswear and help them promote their brand all over the country.
Abhishek Ganguly, MD, Puma India said, “We are very thrilled to welcome Mary Kom to the Puma Family. She is going to take our women’s category in India to the next level.”
Further, Ganguly continues saying, “She embodies the spirit of the Puma woman – determined, goal-oriented, confident, and forever gunning for the next big challenge.
