The 9th International Apparel & Textile Fair Begins Today

The industry’s biggest showcase platform in the MENA region, International Apparel and Textile Fair (IATF) has begun today. It is a three-day event organised by Nihalani Events Management (NEM) showcasing the sourcing hub for fabrics, textile, apparels and more. The event is held at Dubai World Trade Centre, Hall 6 with exhibitors from 14 countries from 12 – 14 November 2018.

With the 9th Edition, about 110+ exhibitors have set up their booth and are ready to welcome their visitor and potential buyers. IATF will bring together manufacturers and their agents along with some of the most influential buyers and designers to the MENA region. The event will provide an extensive platform to connect and network with industry professionals, create long and promising professional relationship and giving all exhibitors an opportunity to expand their business boundaries.

Indian Apparel (www.indian-apparel.com) is contended to associate with IATF as the Online Media Partner. From the past eight editions, the event has been doing extremely well in connecting the market and expanding the trade to far end countries. The show’s new and past exhibitors would be showcasing fabric, haute couture, machinery and ready-made apparels and garments along with a new edition to the categories this year, footwear and handbags. The exhibitors would be travelling from Turkey, China, Japan, Thailand, India and so on to name a few. They would also be introducing new fashion trends, color creations and design solutions to the Middle Eastern and North African markets while making an impact within the industry.

With the ninth edition, IATF has had a significant increase of 44 per cent in attendance of visitors and a 27 per cent increase in exhibitors. The show is expected to witness the same if not better footfall of visitors attending the fair. The show had attracted around 3,000 buyers who were mainly from the UAE and GCC region. While a number of visitors came from Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, other buyers came from all across Asia, Africa, Europe, USA and Australia. UAE ranks as the third largest country in terms of textile exports, making IATF a definite show of the industry for the region. IATF continues to prove itself as the one-stop platform to showcase the latest developments and emerging technology for the apparel and textile industry.

With the loss of sudden demise of Mr. Dilip Nihalani, the show director and founder of IATF, the team worked extra hard to keep the spirit of the show alive and as the saying goes, the show must go on, the 10th edition of IATF is to take place on the 2 – 4 April 2019.
