Fashion Designer Varun Bahl will be the opening designer for the Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2016 (AIFWAW16) in association with Maybelline New York, according to a Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) press release.

About his collection, Varun Bahl said, “I’m extremely excited to come back to Amazon India Fashion Week after so many years and delighted to be opening the fashion week at the new venue. Our new collection is for the woman of today expressed through elegance, balance and proportion. Contemporary embroideries and textures in a range of warm colours inspired from flora and fauna remain our much loved thought to create this collection.”

Sunil Sethi, president, FDCI, said, “Varun Bahl is known for his captivating silhouettes, understanding of what modern women desire and also evocative clothing which has marked his creative evolution. He will set the rhythm for the AIFWAW16.”
