Tamil Nadu government has designated Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC) as the Nodal Agency for all the skill training programmes conducted by various government departments and government agencies. The TNSDC will focus on the standardization of skill training programmes, identification of district wise training institutes both public and private for the benefit of skill training implementing departments.
Government has issued orders constituting a district level committee with district collector as the chairman and other officials to evaluate the proposals submitted by the skill training partners to Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation.
A district level committee comprising chairman, convener and 10 members has been constituted in Tirupur and as an industry representative, TEA president, A Sakthivel has been nominated as a member in the committee.
District level committee will scrutinize and evaluate the proposals on demand depending upon the nature of proposal submitted by the Skill training partners to recommend the same to Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation.
