India’s exports of textiles and apparel, including handicrafts, recorded a healthy performance in November 2025, reflecting the sector’s steady recovery and growing global demand. Exports during the month stood at US$ 2,855.8 million, registering a growth of 9.4% compared to US$ 2,601.5 million in November 2024.
Several key segments recorded notable growth during November 2025, as detailed below:
- Readymade Garments (RMG): 11.3%
- Man-made Yarn/Fabrics/Made-ups, etc.: 15.7%
- Cotton Yarn/Fabrics/Made-ups and Handloom Products: 4.1%
- Handicrafts (excluding handmade carpets): 29.7%
On a cumulative basis, exports of textiles and apparel (excluding handicrafts) during the period January–November 2025 amounted to US$ 32,560.0 million, registering a marginal increase of 0.26% compared to US$ 32,474.9 million during the corresponding period of the previous year. This steady growth reflects resilience in the sector amid global economic uncertainties and fluctuating demand conditions.
Notably, Readymade Garments (RMG) exports during January–November 2025 grew by 3.6% over the same period last year, indicating sustained momentum in one of India’s largest export segments. In addition, exports of jute products recorded a growth of 6.1% during the same period, supported by increasing global preference for eco-friendly and sustainable products.
The overall performance of the textile and apparel sector reflects the combined impact of industry initiatives, market diversification, enhanced competitiveness, and government support measures aimed at boosting exports.
