Ten textile and apparel exporters of the country received FIEO’s Northern Region Export Excellence Awards in New Delhi recently.

The companies included SEL Textiles Ltd., SEL Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Garg Acrylics Ltd., Trident Limited, Nahar Spinning Mills Ltd., R B Knit Exports (all based in Ludhiana), Obeetee Textiles, Mirzapur, Orient Craft Ltd., Gurgaon and CTA Apparels, Noida.

The awards were given in various categories like Top Exporter (Non-MSME), Trading House (Non-MSME), Star Export House (Non-MSME), Export House – MSME, Top Women Entrepreneur MSME, etc. The awards were conferred upon 82 exporters (including financial institutions) from northern region for 1st & 2nd sets of Export Excellence Awards.

The awards were distributed by KK Jalan, secretary, department of MSME, Rakesh Srivastava, secretary NCBC, and A K Bhalla, DGFT.

Addressing the gathering, Jalan said that the MSME sector has emerged as a highly vibrant and dynamic sector of the Indian economy over the last five decades.
