Tendulkar-Backed USPL to Launch Women's Wear

Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar backed fashion line company Universal Sportsbiz is targeting aggressive growth with the launch of its third brand.

The brand, Ms.Taken, is the company’s foray into the estimated Rs.19,000 crore women’s western wear market and has been designed with Bollywood actress Kirti Sanon.

“USPL is the only homegrown Indian company with significant presence in the multi-billion dollar celebrity fashion lines business. Both Imara and Wrogn have built significant resonance and mind share with our target customer segments. With Ms.Taken, we will cater to young girls and women, targeting the age bracket 20 to 30 and making fashion effortless for them,” Anjana Reddy, CEO of USPL said.

USPL already has men’s wear brand Wrogn with Virat Kohli and women’s ethnic wear Imara with another Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor in its portfolio of brands. The company had a top line of Rs.61 crore in the last fiscal.
