Popular hosiery brand TT by T T Ltd. which has always supported sports development in area of table tennis, basketball and cricket has now moved to wrestling (traditional Indian sport). As part of this initiative, the brand joined the Pro Wrestling League as a co-sponsor of the Mumbai wrestling team.

It is glad to have got associated with the Best team of the league. Mumbai won all its 7 matches to come out as a clear winner in the Finals held in Delhi on December 27, a company’s release said.

TT’s managing director, Sanjay Jain said this fitted well in their strategy as wrestling is popular in the main target market and further the dress of the wrestlers is essentially the main product line. Due to wide spread publicity and coverage of the event it reached out to a very large segment of viewers. He said “we look forward to a long term association with the Mumbai Team which performed exceedingly well.”

The League had many Bollywood stars, cricketers and national level wrestlers associated with it. Further the presence of prominent international wrestlers in the teams gave added colour to the tournament. The best part was that every team had women wrestlers also who fought no less than their male counterparts, the release said.
