Seven Textile Parks Approved in Rajasthan

In order to create employment and attract investment, government has approved seven textile parks in Rajasthan under the scheme for Integrated Textile Parks (SITP), textile minister, Santosh Kumar Gangwar said.

Stating that the textile industry is moving in the right direction, he pointed out that seven textile parks have been approved with an assistance of Rs 40 crore for each.

A common effluent treatment plant has also given approval for textile industries in Balotara by the centre and the ministry will also be considering separate projects for Pali, Bhilwara and Sanganer, the minister said at the inauguration of  ‘Vastra-2015’.

“We have ample of engineers all around us, but we lack skilled manpower like plumber and carpenter. The supporting staff is not available in many sectors of industry,” Gangwar said.

Chief minister, Vasundhara Raje who was also present, said that Bhilwara produces nearly half of the country’s poly viscose suiting as Jaipur is known for readymade garments and apparels.

Besides Bagru and Sanganer, there are other main markets like Banswara, Jodhpur, Pali, Balotra and Kishangarh in Rajasthan, she added.
