New Apparel Unit Providing Employment Opportunities In AP

The biggest apparel factory in Arunachal Pradesh providing employment to about 250 people will be inaugurated by the northeast Indian state’s chief minister Pema Khandu on November three. The factory is set up by ELAM Industries owned by Group Captain (retired) Mohonto Panging, who established the first mechanised textile factory in the state in 2015 at Pasighat.

The new factory will be set up by the first week of the November and it can produce about 1,000 shirts or 2,000 T -shirts per day.

“Setting up of manufacturing industries in northeast India will reduce this dependence on other states in addition to providing employment to large number of local people and contribute to development of the region, official statement stated.
