Ministry of Textiles Conclave organized by the Ministry of Textiles aimed to accelerate the growth and development of the textile sector in India’s North-Eastern region, bringing together government officials, industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss opportunities, challenges, and strategic initiatives for strengthening the region’s textile ecosystem.

The conclave highlighted the North-East’s rich textile heritage, skilled artisanal base, and abundant natural resources, positioning the region as a key contributor to India’s textile growth story. Discussions focused on enhancing infrastructure, promoting traditional handlooms and handicrafts, improving market access, and encouraging private investment.

Senior officials from the Ministry of Textiles emphasized various government schemes and policy interventions designed to support the sector, including skill development programs, financial incentives, and cluster-based development initiatives. Special attention was given to empowering local artisans, weavers, and entrepreneurs through technology adoption and capacity building.
