Mango Unveils Its 205th Art Deco Store In Lisbon

Mango unveils its 205th Art Deco store in Lisbon

Barcelona-based fashion retailer Mango has recently celebrated its 25th anniversary by opening its 205th store worldwide. It has opened its 14,000 square feet flagship store in Lisbon, Portugal.

The 205th store is situated on Praca Restauradores, one of the most bustling shopping districts in the capital. At the launch, 250 exclusive guests were invited which includes industry It girls and major Mango girls Camille Charriere, Joanna Halpin, and Jeanne Damas. The Lisbon shop, previously house the Teatro Eden cinema will host all of the brand’s men’s, women’s and kid’s assortments.

The flagship outlet is powered by WiFi and a click and collect system as well as digital dressing rooms where shoppers can request for different sizes and they will be immediately provided with the same by stockers.

Spanish upscale fashion brand Mango has recently launched its mens and kids wear collections. It had a very active digital presence and the push towards tech-enhanced physical spaces comes organically to the brand, Daniel Lopez, VP, Mango said. He also added that the consumer today is touching the brand at one’s discretion in many places like mobile, tablet, social media, magazines and stores. They are working towards consistent experience that will be provided to the consumer.

Mango unveils its 205th Art Deco store in Lisbon

Not only is the brand trying to give its shoppers the technology experience but also through its powerful architecture and beautiful interiors. The Lisbon outlet is situated inside an Art Deco building featuring a stunning freestanding staircase that weighs 7,495 tons of steel and is 33 feet high.

“Lisbon is going through an outstanding cultural movement and the building is a historic image of the city,” Lopez added. Apart from its pre-existing grandeur, the brand also commissioned five modern artists who recreated the flagship’s façade in their own hallmark flair. The store’s interiors will be decorated by their artwork.
