Made In India Collections At London Fashion Week

Visitors at the recent London Fashion Week witnessed the Made in India collections for the third season in a row as designers from the country showcased their designs. Sending a strong message to the global media and industry, the collections re-instated that India is evolving from just Make in India to design in India for fashion.

FAD International Academy, India’s premier institution for creative arts and fashion, unveiled Season three of House of Middle East and Asia at Fashion Scout in the course of the London Fashion Week, a first of its kind initiative to promote Indian designers through global fashion weeks.

Made in India Collections at London Fashion Week

Catwalk shows by designers Nivedita Saboo, India and Dubai- based label Studio HJ by Hema Joshi saw a packed audience comprising British celebs, media and the fashion industry. Last season was witness to Rocky S and accessory designer Felix Bendish unveiling their collections to raving industry and media reviews.

While Saboo presented a mix of menswear and women’s wear with shapely silhouettes, Joshi kept true to her signature elegant style, presenting full, floor length gowns. She was inspired by the costumes, architecture and vibrant shades of Tibet which she reflected in this collection with bold geometric prints and a vibrant array of colours.
