Indorama Industries has launched INVIYA I-400, the 4th generation polymer of spandex INVIYA, to achieve excellent recovery at finished garments stage. The I-400 product has been developed with significant inputs from value chain partners of Indorama with requirements of high-end retailers.

I-400 polymer is characterised with robustness in terms of chemical composition along with high elongation. Robustness allows to stronger resistance to alkali, acids, chlorine which is a characteristic vital for garment wash and finish. Additionally, modulus properties of the polymer in terms of running load lead to excellent recovery and minimal growth at the garment stage during spinning and texturizing which are the key requirements for active and sports clothing, whether it is a woven or knitted outfit.

Above all, I-400 strongly contributes to retaining the shape of garment after even repeated washes and hence enhances the active life of the garment, leading to customer satisfaction.
